The Hammond 1553 Series offers ergonomically designed handheld enclosures made of ABS plastic, ideal for portable electronics such as measuring instruments, sensors, and switches. Available in various colors, including black, gray, blue, red, and yellow. The enclosures feature an integrated battery compartment suitable for two AA batteries or one 9V (PP3) battery, depending on the model. They are equipped with a soft grip for comfortable use and include a silicone gasket for protection against dust and splashing water (IP54). The lids have a recess for a membrane switch or display and are secured with stainless steel screws threaded into brass bushings, making them ideal for applications requiring repetitive assembly and disassembly.
