Hammond 1553 Series | Ergonomic ABS Handheld Enclosures

The Hammond 1553 Series offers ergonomically designed ABS plastic enclosures, ideal for handheld applications. Available in various sizes, ranging from 75×50×17 mm to 147×89×24 mm, and in black or grey. The enclosures feature a soft plastic overmold for comfortable grip and include integrated standoffs for easy PCB mounting. Some models are equipped with a battery compartment for 2x AA batteries or a 9V (PP3) battery. The enclosures are designed to meet IP54 standards, providing protection against dust and splashing water. The front panel is integrated with the top half of the enclosure and is secured with black stainless steel screws threaded into brass bushings, making them ideal for applications requiring repetitive assembly and disassembly.
